Job Description
The Firm’s Tax Group is led by the Global Head of Tax based in London. The Tax Group has three functional areas: Corporate Tax, Partner Tax and Transferee Tax. An opportunity exists for a high caliber person to join the tax team based in our Gurgaon office responsible for managing the process of business travelers in countries Firm wide (‘Transferee Tax’). The role involves dealing with personal tax affairs of internationally mobile executives and related payroll withholding issues across geographies. The role for the required position includes the following: • Overseeing the team handling data modelling for compensation structures, designing and implementation of workable planning structures • Communications to impacted Partners and Associates • Coordinating with in-house experts and external advisors to structure compliance and recover tax refunds To make a success of this role, the candidates must also be able to: • Work effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organisation and in a wide range of countries around the world • Provide excellent and valuable client service, whilst protecting the Firm’s reputation and assets • Get things done within a large and complex organization that operates on a consensus basis • Communicate effectively with senior executives • Deal with detail while maintaining an overview • Other projects as assigned on a time to time basis. There is a possibility for the role to expand over time. The individual would primarily report into the Director of Transferee Tax, based in London
Skills and Expertise
8-10 years of post-qualification experience Previous work experience: Expat taxation in ‘Big Four’ Accounting Firm or similar profile in industry with a substantial previous work-experience with Big Four. Skills: - Excellent communication skills - Strong people leader - Strong problem solving skills - Initiative and desire to excel - Strong tax and accounting knowledge - Capability to supervise the work of others - Proven track record of client service - Ability to develop relationships and network - Ability to handle multiple projects
